This position is based in Hong Kong, China.
The area: Large Customer Sales
The regional Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams partner closely with our major advertising clients and agencies to develop digital solutions that build our clients' businesses and brands. We are in a unique and exciting position to shape how marketing and business is conducted in the digital age. We generate revenue from across Google's broad range of solutions, from Google AdWords, to YouTube, to Mobile, that help our customers connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences and get the most out of the web.
The role: Industry Analyst (Global eCommerce)
Does winning new business get your adrenaline pumping? Drive growth for Google's Online Sales Group as part of the Inside Sales Organization, the sole acquisition engine at Google. You collaborate with our Account Management teams to devise strategies to acquire specific segments of your market. Work independently, travel to trade shows, visit large prospective clients--it's all part of this role. Be rewarded for being an overachiever while driving incremental growth in your market. You prescribe the right marketing mix based on Google's core advertising products through acquisition of predefined mid-and up-market clients. You are product- and industry-savvy, and your energetic drive propels you toward new acquisitions and building and managing your own book of business.
Responsibilities:

* Develop smart, integrated, research-based proposals and presentations to enhance Google's reputation with clients. Develop new marketing collateral using industry, marketing, and third-party research to support the Sales team in all the vertical-specific tactical upsells.
* Acquire and share deep knowledge of a specific industry sector (Global eCommerce), its competitive landscape, client products, and key business issues that affect the client and industry.
* Provide leadership, decision-making frameworks, analytic guidance, and business judgment to drive projects.
* Assume primary responsibility for structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives, developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing final recommendations.
* Be the expert on web analytics solutions, help clients to analysis and gives rich insights into clients? website traffic and marketing effectiveness, hence strengthen client marketing initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Solid account management/consultancy experience, and the ability to easily pick up technical knowledge of product innovations and new product features. Superior analytical skills that include the ability to see granular as well as big-picture issues.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working effectively with senior leaders, peers, and external entities.
* General knowledge of HTML, RSS, JavaScript, HTTP, SQL and familiarity with typical web practices. High proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint.
* Strong web application or mobile application development experience.
* Fluency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
