SRGEurope are recruiting a Technical Architect to join one of the leading igaming companies in their offices in the Mediterranean setting of Gibraltar, the heart of the online gaming world. Offering an excellent package, this position would ideally suit someone who wants to develop their career at the forefront of e-Commerce, working with a market leader, in an excellent location.
The ideal candidate will ensure that IT systems meet the highest standards in Application Architecture and Design, Database Administration Policy, Data Architectures, Business Architectures, Security Policy and Availability, Capacity and Continuity Planning. This is a vital role for the business, maintaining the integrity of systems and consistency of applied architectures.
Responsibilities
* Support project teams to produce appropriate designs and technical specifications
* Assist in the development of internally developed solutions
* Lead delivery of complex IS requirements, accounting for current and future eventualities
* Work with the Head of Architecture and Solutions Architects ensuring all activities are considered from an enterprise standpoint
* Contribute to the design and management of Enterprise Infrastructure, Technical Architectures and Solutions Architectures
* Manage technical and platform security solutions patterns/designs and ensure their adoption within project activities
* Ensure IS Systems meet processing, storage and network capacity and performance requirements, to meet and evolving business needs
* Own and provide effective management of Suppliers for the delivery of new and changed services for IS components
* Contribute to architectural governance processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, and ensure that all audit documentation is captured and published
Requirements
* Experience in a similar role with extensive experience in a software design and development role using web technologies and database driven applications such as JEE/Oracle/LAMP/.NET based technology
* In depth knowledge of architectural design principles
* Broad knowledge of technical domains relevant to online sports betting and gaming
* Experience providing technical documentation for others to understand a solutions design
* Ability to manage several projects at once, with excellent time management, people influencing skills, and an ability to manage people at all levels, and experience of working with high levels
* Proven track record and ability to lead technical staff (planning, organising and interpersonal skills
* This role would require the ideal candidate to make approx. two international trips a month
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of systems integration standard including ESB, SOA, XML, SOAP, HTTP and network topology
* Knowledge of clustered and distributed environments
* Knowledge of architectural frameworks and methodologies (TOGAF, Zachman etc)
* Knowledge of HP & SUN infrastructure technologies
* Competent SQL skills for Oracle, Informix, and SQL Server
* Experience with ETL/ELT tool
